I have the new SageTV HD Theater in house. This is the updated HD capable extender device from SageTV.

 Here are some first impressions:

 Pros:

  • The interface is considerably more responsive than the previous model
  • Smaller form factor
  • Same great picture quality from HD sources such as a Hauppauge HD-PVR as the previous model
  • USB ports afford access to external storage devices allowing access to media files stored on them
  • Offers a full standalone media player mode allowing access to media stored on network devices and online services such as Hulu (Playon! required for sites like Hulu)

 Cons:

  • Same remote as the previous model which means it is still a bit clunky
  • There is no simple way to return to standalone player mode when in SageTV Extender mode
  • No access to standalone player features while in SageTV Extender mode

 Other Info:

  • Has two USB ports (one front, one rear)
  • Has an optical digital audio output but no coax
  • Video outputs include: HDMI (cable included), component, S-Video/Composite/Stereo Audio (cable included)
  • Comes with a long Ethernet cable
  • Uses a wall wart power adapter unlike the previous model

Here is a picture of the new Extender:
